NASHUA ? As planned in the original school schedule, there would be no school for Nashua students on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 16. The Board of Education voted Monday to hold school on the federal holiday in an effort to make up one of the four lost days following the October snowstorm. But Nashua Teachers? Union approval is required by the end of the day Thursday to finalize the decision, and that won?t happen in time, Union President Bob Sherman said. Three smaller units of the Nashua Teachers? Union, including the unions of secretaries, food-service workers and paraprofessionals, would need to approve a change in contract language to hold school on Martin Luther King Jr. ...
